Welcome
Garwnant Visitor Centre is the southern gateway to the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park.
This family-friendly forest is easy to find, just off the A470 north of Merthyr Tydfil.
Natural Resources Wales is working in partnership with Forest Holidays at Garwnant.
Visitor facilities
The visitor facilities are managed by Forest Holidays.
The facilities include:
- walking trails
- children’s outdoor play area and cycle skills park
- large picnic area around the car park
- picnic benches along the walking trails
- café
- new eco-sensitive timber cabins
