Apply for a band 1 marine licence

Use this service to apply for a band 1 marine licence. 

Before you start

You need to know:

• your project name
• a summary of what you want to do
• applicant and any agent details
• reference for any pre-application advice we gave you
• information about any vessels or vehicles you will use
• start date of the works
• project location using longitude and latitude in decimal degrees to 5 decimal places
• which, and what quantity of, materials you will deposit or remove
• whether you have any statutory powers to consent aspects of the work, and under which legislation

Documents you must upload

1. An Ordnance Survey map or Admiralty Chart
   
   
2. Method statements
   
   
3. Construction plans and sectional drawings, if you have them
   
   
4. A chart of the proposed delivery route if you are delivering materials by sea
   
   
5. Written confirmation from both Trinity House and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency that your work will not pose a risk to others
   
   
6. Any correspondence with other consultees
   
   
7. Your evidence, if you want to claim confidentiality
