This is an application for an installation to produce hydrogen by electrolysis of water using polymer electrolyte membrane technology. The installation will produce up to 960kg green hydrogen per day which will be used to fill pressurised hydrogen tubes, which will then be transported off site to supply fuel for the transport, power, industrial heat and aviation sectors. We are minded to grant the permit. We will only grant a permit if we believe that significant pollution will not be caused and the operator has the ability to meet the conditions of the permit. Any permit we grant will include appropriate conditions to protect human health and the environment.
